Rider Mountain PFB Holiness Church
Loving Jesus, Showing Others the Way
Rider Mountain PFB Holiness Church was founded in 1937 by Rev. Tommy Whitman from Toccoa, Georgia. It began in a brush arbor and met in houses until the original church was built in 1944 on present location. The existing church was built in 1957 by Rev. L.C. Young and the members of the church. Since 1957, bathrooms were added in 1968 and central heat was put in the early 1970’s. The church added a fellowship hall in 1978 and the Church was bricked in 1984. In 2000, the church purchased a parsonage to house the pastor’s family. An LED sign was added to the church in 2024 as well as a tent ministry in Westminster, a jail ministry in Oconee County Jail, feeding the homeless in Seneca at Our Daily Bread once a month, as well as classes for addiction recovery at OARS, and Magnolia House as well as a van ministry and online Mixlr ministry all in 2024. The first person to be buried in the church cemetery was Bernice Burton who was killed in World War II in 1944. The original church building has been relocated to behind tabernacle and preserved on the church campground at Five Forks. The address of the campground is 1199 Doyle Street, Westminster, SC 29693. The church has both a youth camp and a camp meeting at this location each year in the summer. The pastors who have served at this church are in order as follows,
Rev. Tommy Whitman, Rev. Bert McClain, Rev. Robert Hughes, Rev. Haskell Lee, Rev. Brady Gibson, Rev. Leo Fitzgerald, Rev. Charles Lee, Rev. Jeff Sparkman, Rev. Steve Coomes, Rev. We have one member currently living who is 95 years old named sister Catherine Lee and she is former pastor Charles Lee’s widow. Also, we have several attending in their 90’s. Our church has always heavily supported home missions and foreign missions.
Our mission is to fulfill the great commission in “Mark 16:15” of Christ to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature

Rev. Kyle Preskitt has been pastoring here at Rider Mountain PFB Holiness Church since June 4th, 2023. Kyle is dedicated to the Lord, his family, and to his church and has a vision for outreach, addiction recovery, marriage restoration, winning lost souls, and discipleship. He has a burden to see lost souls won to the Lord in these last days and homes rescued from the devastation of divorce. He also has a vision and a ministry to addicts in Oconee County called Making the Turn Ministries, Inc. Kyle has spent his time in the ministry preaching in nursing homes, jails, prisons, addiction rehabs, tent revivals, house services, homeless shelters, and also feeding the homeless and starting a van ministry to those without a way to church as well as counseling with people in crisis to try and salvage broken relationships.
